Page 1 Solutions is packing up and heading out to sunny San Diego for the IACA meeting this week. This is one of our favorite meetings of the year and we’re excited to catch up with clients, friends, and colleagues! Plus, we’re also looking forward to the chance to share some new website marketing strategies with attendees. A lot of this have changed in the past year on Google. Blended results, Google Places, the crack down on content farms, the importance of reviews/ratings, and most recently, testing Google +1, are just a few of the changes.
Page 1 wants to know: Has your Web marketing strategy adapted to these changes? Ask yourself these questions:
1. Have you compared your dental website to other local competitors’ websites in the last 12 months?
2. Do you know how many patients are coming from the Web?
3. Are you actively posting patient reviews and rating on your website, review sites, and social media sites?
4. Are you listed in Google Local? Have you even claimed your local business listing?
5. Are you active on social media sites like Facebook and YouTube?
6. Does your website reflect the high level of quality, service, and expertise of your practice?
7. Has an outside agency critiqued your dental website and provided recommendations to improve it within the past 12 months?
8. Have you done anything recently to make your website more “interactive,” so visitors develop a rapport with your dental practice, such as video, instant chat, and social media elements?
9. Is your practice taking advantage of the new developments in online marketing like mobile broswers, video pay-per-click, etc.?
If you can’t answer YES to these questions, visit us at the upcoming IACA meeting, booth #315, and get up to speed on all the Internet marketing changes and new strategies.

Erik Qualman recently released the 2011 version of his “Social Media Revolution” videos. It is updated with lots of new information and statistics, plus new music (what do you think of the new music?).
If you want to watch the previous versions of his videos, you can catch up on his YouTube channel. If you want to watch the 2011 video with the faster-paced music, you can watch that here.
It’s true that traffic to websites is down due to the monster that is Facebook. However, that doesn’t mean you should stop your website efforts and solely focus on your Facebook pages. On the contrary, you should combine the two and use Facebook to drive traffic to your website.
This is a great post reminding us to be careful about what we say online. The author lists four important points to remember before you post anything online.
1. The Internet is forever.
2. Privacy controls don’t really mean anything.
3. Would Grandma approve of that?
4. Do not badmouth anyone online.

Hi everyone! We are so excited to unveil our brand new website. The redesign of our website has been been a long time in the making, and we are so happy with the results. It was well worth the wait. There is a lot of excitement around the new site. Not just because it’s a fantastic looking site (thanks Taylor, Maarit, and Stacey), but also because we decided to reprogram the website from a static HTML site into a content management system (CMS). This change gives the account manager for Page 1′s website much more flexibility for maintaining and updating. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
Here at Page 1, we’re gearing up for next week’s American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry meeting in Boston. This is one of the biggest meetings that we attend and it’s always exciting. Plus, being in the wonderful city of Boston just makes it that much better.
